Description

Ahead Percussion and acclaimed percussionist Chazvez Lowe have developed this tenor practice pad. Five steel rimmed blue pads are mounted on a solid black wood frame. The recesses on the underside of this pad allow for zones on each pad producing proper pitch intervals of tenor drums. The Chavez tenor pad also comes notched to allow for mounting on a snare stand. No slip rubber keeps the pad stable when being played on a flat surface. laminate sets are also available to achieve desired pad hardness.

Tenor pad is a great practice tool for my son who is in marching band! The rim adds to fine tuning his technique and simulates the "real" tenor set in an amazing way! Also, the service during ordering and delivery through Steve Weiss Music was awesome!

This pad is AMAZING!!!! I love it!! Please DO NOT discontinue this product. Let Ahead know they have a happy customer. But honestly this pad is amazing. The real size of the pad feels like the real tenors size. The rims help with playing zones and also proper technique especially with scrape patterns. Not only does it feel good to play on, but it is extremely durable. To add, the pad has the black mother board which is cut to feel like real tenors. I love that! It doesn't have all the extra wood that most Vic Firth tenor pads have. (Which I terribly hate) I think everyone should get this pad. I honestly think you guys should put this pad first on your marching tenor pad section on your website because I think many people don't know about this product. I highly recommend you guys doing that. Overall, I rate this pad 5 stars all the way! Please inform this pad to all current and future tenor players. They will NOT disappointed! Thanks Steeve Weiss for serving the percussion world. You guys are awesome!! And so is this pad!! Two thumbs up!
