“Terra Anos-Luz is a duo for percussion (large set-up) and tape, characterized by a dense and at times dramatic nature, culminating in a hopeful and uplifting conclusion. The performer is in constant interaction between the percussion and the tape, and the performance should always be executed with a sense of feeling in relation to what is presented in the tape. In some moments, the performer should improvise or interact freely, while in others, he must play in unison with the tape. It is essential to develop an intimate familiarity with the tape accompanying the piece, always seeking to blend the timbres and perform spontaneously according to the temporal markings indicated in the score.”
