Description
Astronomy has fascinated me since childhood and is the source of inspiration for this piece. Interferometry is used in radio astronomy. It allows observations of electromagnetic radiation by an array of many small telescopes to be combined (interfered). This interference is synthesized and in turn replicates a single large telescope equivalent in size to the entire array. The six movements of Interferometry II should be played in order, and in their entirety, so that the listener can synthesize the work as a whole. The duration is approximately 18 minutes.
