Conceived while the composer was performing on the uptown Fourteenth Street Union Square subway platform in New York City, this collection represents his earliest writing. Creative Freedom and Embellishment

Rather than strict compositions, each miniature is intended to serve as a starting point to let the inspiration of the performer dictate the direction of the music. The printed musical directions within the book are simply suggestions based on the personal performance tendencies of the composer. Vibraphonists have the full blessing of the creator to play these pieces verbatim, add their own embellishments, or even arrange them for entirely different ensembles and instruments.
