Maybe a little soft for marching

These have slightly shorter, thicker handles, that feel GREAT and cushion the hand nicely with big motions. They are very "woofy" compared to most marching mallets, and I would only use them for the biggest mellow sounds in the bottom register. The tone is warmer than you'd expect with a lot less "slap" than similar mallets. I would not use the #5/6 mallets in this line as they just get softer and heavier, and this is already softer than I would almost ever use. I do like them as a bass mallet in a mixed set, however, and am glad to have the option to swap one in.
