I love the balance on these sticks. At 16-1/4" they are only a tiny bit longer than most sticks, but they feel as though they really extend my reach. I can hold farther back, but they don't feel top heavy. I also feel as though I don't have to hit as hard to get a good sound. This is the closest match I've found to the old Vic Firth Dave Weckl model from the 1990s (the new ones have gotten thicker & heavier.) Lots of rebound on the cymbals.

The promark 718's feel great in my hands. They are very articulate on all of my cymbals. The only downside to these sticks are they are hard on drum heads. I'm about to change my snare head after two weeks of playing them.
