I used the Nick Petrella 5/Cooperman 5 far years but really liked this Vic Firth model. Seemed a little bit more responsive for really delicate passagework.
Description
The Vic Firth Persimmon Snare Drum Stick is crafted from select pieces of this premium wood. Persimmon is used in concert snare drum sticks because the rigidity of the wood has the ability to create dark classic tones. The SCS1 has a length, extended taper and thin neck to generate an elegant response making this a perfect symphonic stick.

These sticks are great! I used to love SD1 Generals, yet as I got older and progressed I started using Freer and Cooperman sticks. But, these sticks have brought me back to loving Vic Firth sticks and I use them all the time because they feel so good. I highly recommend giving these sticks a try--you won't be disappointed.

Amazing stick! This stick took all of my issues with the SD1's and fixed them. This is my new standard snare drum stick.
