I purchased this for a gong plate and it's perfect! It was super easy to setup and will be easy to disassemble and take with me to offsite events. It doesn't require a screwdriver or anything, just turn the knobs to tighten or loosen to disassemble. It is sturdy and because it is adjustable, I can use it for my other small gongs, too, if needed.
The stand works well and is adjustable. I just had some confusion as to how to assemble it, but no instructions were included. Took me a while to figure it out but it is a sturdy frame for gongs.
I was knocked out by this stand. It's solid, just the right size for my needs, and only $40! The feet are excessively long unless you're setting the stand at maximum height and hit like a rock drummer. I'm using mine low and I have a light touch, so I just took a hacksaw and lopped three and a half inches off all the ends. It's just as stable now and more manageable for setup.
