Weiss Ocean Drum - 20"

The 20" Weiss Ocean Drum creates a full, expansive ocean effect with the natural acoustic character of genuine skin drumheads. High-quality spherical steel pellets move freely between the drum's two heads, generating a deep, flowing wash that recreates the sound and movement of waves along the coast. Tilting and rocking the drum allows players to shape everything from gentle rolling surf to larger, more dramatic wave effects.

With its generous 20" diameter, this Weiss Ocean Drum also provides a substantial playing surface for seated frame drumming. Striking the top head sets the spherical steel pellets in motion, adding a distinctive shaker-like texture beneath the natural resonance and attack of the drumhead. This combination opens up a wide range of sounds for percussion performance, classrooms, sound effects, and creative musical applications.

Each Weiss 20" Ocean Drum is accented with a decorative inlay that gives the instrument a unique visual appearance. Inlay colors and patterns may vary between individual drums.
