Promark System Blue Jim Wunderlich JW8R Medium Hard Vibraphone Mallets offer the player enough variety to "belt" out notes when needed and be able to immediately drop down to perform more delicate passages. It features a rubber-like synthetic core wrapped tightly with cord on a 14.5" rattan shaft. The JW8R is the most diverse of Jim Wunderlich's signature vibraphone mallets.

Pro-Mark is proud to have Jim Wunderlich as an endorser and signature artist. His nine model System Blue mallet series are not for marching percussion alone. I'm on a quest for a mallet that will sound good on marimba and vibes, and survive a whole season without disintegrating. This mallet is close. It sounds terrific, loud, articulate enough but not too much, covers a full range on both 4.3 marimbas and vibes. I'm concerned it won't live to see the end of 12 weeks, though, and that's an issue. It's tough to convince kids (and parents) they need to buy $60-70 worth of mallets simply because we're expecting them break.
